Pokeumans Chapter 15
We were falling through a long, winding glowing tunnel as the twelve of us were sucked through the portal. We reached the end of the tunnel, and a blinding light overtook us…
When I woke up, I was lying on my back in what felt like long grass. The others were around me, still unconscious. I sat up and looked at my surroundings. We were all at the top of a grassy hall, with a warm sunny breeze gently blowing. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was a clear blue, without a cloud in sight. Being in this area made me feel…at peace. As I took a moment to absorb my surroundings, Nathan slowly opened his eyes and sat up.

I couldn't think. My thoughts were cloudy and tears ran down my face. "I-I have to make it back. I have to…"
I was carrying Reggie's body in my arms, and I just kept walking. I wasn't controlling my legs; my body was completely numb. I felt disconnected…like my spirit was watching over myself. As I made it to the boulder, I realized the cruel irony of the situation. The day I arrived, I passed out, and Reggie carried me inside the base. Now it was I who was carrying him back to the base. I pressed my paw on it, and the secret elevator opened. As the elevator went down, I felt nothing. Not sadness, not anger, not guilt, just&he

Reggie and I continued past my hometown and into the night. The GPS allowed us to find the area of the third gem quickly enough, but it was too dark to continue the hunt, as it was almost midnight. We had already made it to the abandoned campsites, so we parked the car, built a small fire, and settled in. The ground was dry enough, the storm blowing over a few hours ago.
"Man, I'm getting really stressed out over this gem hunt thing," I said, leaning my head against a tree, "I'm still aching from when I hit the pavement earlier."
Reggie thought for a minute. "I have an idea," he said, taking off his ring and turning into his Grovyle form ag

Val took us back to the harbor, just several streets away from the car.
"Why don't you come with us Val? It'll be like old times," said Reggie.
The human Tangrowth sighed. "I would love to Reggie, but, I've settled in now. I have a girlfriend, and a job. I can't just drop everything and go on an adventure. My PRT days are over man, but, if you ever need anymore support, I'll do anything I can."
Reggie walked over and the two pounded fists and then gave each other a bro hug.
"Take care of the kid, he has a lot of potential," whispered Val, though I was able to hear him thanks to my heightened hearing.
"See ya man, good luck with your life

We drove through the forest, not really saying anything to each other. Reggie and I had a big mission to do and nothing as going to stop us from completing our goal. Bored, I searched through the backpack. Inside contained a travel guide of New York, some bottles of water, and the special watch I wore when I infiltrated the Pokéxtinction base to rescue Conner and Ryan. Excitedly, I put it on.
"Don't use that when we're in populated areas," said Reggie, "Pokéxtinctionists can pick up signals that transfer to Pokéuman bases and track us down. Be careful."
I nodded, "I understand."
Eventually we pulled out of the forest and mad

Leaving the whole scene, I quickly retreated to my room, where I filled Starr and Mike out on the details. It was all so sudden and shocking. We stayed up most of the night and talked about it before retreating to our beds. The whole night, I was unable to sleep. I was worried truly worried. Mr. X wanted to get rid of the Energy Channelers. That's why when my kidnapping wasn't successful, he sent Mindy to frame me. That's why he sent the loved ones of our friends to the nearest Pokéxtinction base, it was his chance to lure me in and capture me. But if he wanted to get rid of me so badly why didn't he stay and fight during

The world became bright again and I fell about a foot or two from the air and landed on the grass on my back. "Well that was more powerful than when Mike teleports me " I moaned. The five of us had made it. We were in the tall grass a few feet away from a massive building. The sign said "Environmental Testing Facility" but it was a Pokéxtinction base. I just knew it. Nathan flapped his wings and preened himself, Starr sat up and rubbed her head, Cameron yawned for a second and Sakato stood and got into running position. My watch beeped. I pressed the little button on it and a holographic Asula appeared. "Brandon, did your party make

"BRANDON WAKE UP! IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!" Mike's voice shouted. I woke up with a start. "What! What's here?" I asked, groggily. Mike looked at me dumbfounded, "You don't know? HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW?!" he shouted. "Ow! Lucario ears are sensitive!" I groaned. "Brandon, it's Christmas!" said Starr. That woke me up. I instantly sat up, "It's CHRISTMAS?" I've been at the base so long I guess I stopped counting the days, I thought. I got up and climbed out of bed. "Wow, this is my first Christmas as a Pokéuman," I said. I wondered about my family. That stupid clone of me was getting presents. "Come on, get up! We

The door closed behind me. "This is it Brandon," I said to myself, "This is your chance to prove yourself. You've trained hard for this day. Now let's rock and roll!" I looked up. I was in a big room with four gold doors numbered 1 to 4. Each had a lock on it. I noticed the bottom of the handle of the key I was holding felt funny. I turned it over to see a big number 1. I remembered Reggie had said the first challenger was easy, but he was an experienced battler. I walked over to the first door and jammed the huge key into the lock and turned the key. The key stuck in the door, and it slowly slid open. I triumphantly stepped through the door
